It's been a while since I've written about our mobile art gallery A Truckload Of Art. That's because, most of the time, I am frustrated at how difficult sometimes things can go. During the summer months Florida is hot. When I say hot, I mean extremely HOT. On top of that, it rains almost every day, and to top it all off, we got the infamous zica virus. Those were really tough months for us.
A mobile art gallery sounds great, and it is. It's just that the concept is so new, that no one knows what to make of us. That is the cities, the permits etc. When we first started out, we thought that people would be happy to have us. I mean after all, we are bringing art to diverse neighborhoods. As it turns out, people who have festivals, don't really care. They don't want us to bring our mobile art gallery. They want us to get a tent, like everyone else and pay for the space etc. So then, why would I do a mobile art gallery?
Thankfully, we have found some amazing people who are very supportive of us. The people in Wynwood, which is the Arts District in Miami. They have helped us out as much as they could, and I believe that they really want us to succeed.
Well, I am just writing to let you know that we are back. We are getting ready for Art Basel Week. We will be featuring some amazing art, so if you are in the neighborhood, make sure you stop by to say hello.
We will see you soon atop A Truckload of ART!!!!
